Channel counts in the effect range run from 17 to 29. That number decides how much console space a fixture needs — and how much of the look is available to program.
What the count includes
A DMX channel is one controllable value. Movement, dimming, colour, lasers, strobe and strip effects all take channels. A fixture with independent arms needs a channel per arm, which is why multi-arm models have larger maps.
| Fixture | Channels | What the map covers |
|---|---|---|
| Six Honey Eye Lasers + LED Light Strips | 17 | Pan/tilt with fine, RGBW, laser, honey-eye motor, macros, strip effects, reset |
| Four-Armed Little Dragonfly | 21 | Four arm motors, RGBW beams, magic ball, lasers, strobe, macros |
| War Shadow Six Arm Bee Eye | 26 | Six beam motors, bee-eye spin, RGBW, lasers, two strobe colours, strip macros |
| War Shadow Six Arms 2-in-1 | 26 | Six beams, bee-eye rotation, pattern LED, lasers, 72 strip LEDs |
| War Shadow Ten-Arm Magic Ball | 29 | Ten arm motors, magic ball, lasers, strips, macro control |
Patching advice
Group fixtures of the same type into consecutive addresses and leave the channel count visible on the patch sheet. For multi-arm fixtures, note which arm maps to which channel — the manual numbers them left to right, and a rental technician will need that when the fixture is re-hung.
The channel map for every product is published on its product page, so a patch can be built before the fixtures arrive.
